Shout Out: Zhush

In the makeup artist world it's a true privilege to find a kindred spirit that shares your same affinity for being creative and making women look, and feel beautiful. I have been lucky enough to find that with Natalie Wallace from Zhush in Issaquah, WA.

I began working with Natalie in late 2014 when she asked me to come in for a test shoot with models, and let me tell you, we had an amazing time that led to some truly beautiful images. We started with a clean "Cover Girl" look for each model, and then amplified their looks with eyes, lips and styling. I was both the makeup artist and the hair stylist for the shoot. Since that initial shoot, our relationship has blossomed and we have collaborated on looks - from sweet senior portraits to avant garde boudoir that screams sexy to award-winning concept shoots featuring one-of-a -kind fashions and models who slay. We play with lighting, styling, interesting makeup and hair styles that Natalie ensures me that I can do, but I am not so sure. All I can say is a huge thank you to her and her studio for letting me become a staple in their glam room for the past year and a half.
